Vegan Seven Layer Dip

This delicious vegan, gluten free, and super easy taco dip recipe can be made in 10 minutes. This is a great party dip or vegan/gluten free appetizer. I

Ingredients

  • 1 can refried beans

  • 1/2 package taco seasoning

  • 1 container Plant based sour cream

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 1 medium yellow onion

  • Diced green chilies to taste

  • 1 10-12 oz package of plant based shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat refried beans in a pan just until warmed up,

  2. Add in 1/2 packet of taco seasoning mix and mix thoroughly (If you want this to be gluten free/vegan be sure to check taco seasoning ingredients- most are vegan but some have chicken flavoring- they will be labeled gluten free if they are gluten free.

  3. Put heated and mixed refried beans on bottom layer of a 9x9 glass pan or pretty dish! Smooth out.

  4. Add 8 ounces of plant based sour cream on top of that and spread out

  5. OPTIONAL- add 1 small can of black olives

  6. Add two chopped tomatoes to the top of the sour cream (or olives if you added them)

  7. Add 1/2 -1 chopped onion on top of that- chop finely!

  8. Add diced green chilis on top of that- 1 small can if they are medium heat, fewer if very hot

  9. Top with about 12 ounces of plant based cheese- I like either cheddar flavor or "Mexican blend"

  10. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve- You can make this the day before and store in the refrigerator but store in a container with a tight fitting lid. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
